Namaste, iam Edna Kent, So long!
Well, it’s true what they say - the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! It’s amazing how much newborns can look like their fathers. From their eyes to their nose, you can really see the resemblance. Heck, even their little hands and feet look just like dad’s! It’s no wonder why so many parents are in awe of this special bond between father and child.
Do First Borns Look Like Father? [Solved]
Wrapping up the research, co-author and Padova University psychologist Paola Bressan said, as far as she knows, “no other study has backed up or repeated” the 1995 study’s claim that babies look like their dads.
Genetic Similarity: Children often look like their fathers due to the genetic similarities between them. This is because both parents contribute half of their genetic material to the child, and so the child will have a combination of traits from both parents.
Environment: The environment in which a child is raised can also influence how much they resemble their father. For example, if a father spends more time with his child than the mother does, then the child may take on more of his physical characteristics as they grow up.
Nature vs Nurture: It is believed that some traits are inherited from one’s parents while others are learned through experience and environment; this is known as nature versus nurture debate. Therefore, it could be argued that children who look like their fathers may have inherited certain physical traits from them or been influenced by their environment in some way.
It’s often said that kids take after their dad, and it’s true - babies usually look like their father! From the shape of their eyes to the color of their hair, you can usually tell who the daddy is.
